Sharon Lomas describes her beautiful home as having a biophilic interior. She says:
I am creating a biophilic home that truly nurtures and supports my health and at the same time sparks inspiration for my work.
I now design homes to reflect a love of nature, using the principles of biophilic design that contribute to physical healing and mental wellbeing. My mission is to see people taste the powerful benefits that biophilia brings and how embracing these principles can create a home sanctuary that cocoons, calms and supports your wellbeing.
Sharon and her husband, Garry live in a rented rectory in the Lake District. Together, they’re the owners of interiors shop, Lomas & Lomas, which sells hand-made, patterned lampshades and cushions. The two fabric lampshades in the photo above are from their range.
Separately, Garry is a professional photographer and Sharon is an interior designer, writer and natural candle-maker. Where do they both find the time for it all?!
If you’re interested in creating a more biophilic interior for your home, Sharon can guide you with her design service.
