Price Points: Electric radiators

When we moved into our new house a few months ago, there was central heating in only half of the house. It was the height of summer then. However, we knew that it wouldn’t be long before autumn and winter would arrive, and soon the cottage would be very cold.

We needed a quick fix while we waited for the heating engineers to begin work and an electric radiator was just the job. #2 was the model we chose to buy. We mainly used it in the bathroom, so put wall mountings there. It also came with floor stand fittings, so it could be moved and used where required.

It proved very effective, warming the room quickly. There are a host of modes, thermostatic settings and timers. These electric radiators are very cheap to run too – ours is as low as 5-6 pence per hour and down to 1-2 pence per hour if it’s on a thermostat. We’ve been really impressed with ours, and could recommend investing if they’re what you need for your domestic or work situation.
