My ideal kitchen is a mixture of freestanding units, wall mounted cupboards, open shelves, perhaps a vintage kitchenette and a kitchen table as big as space allows. The latter would act as a kitchen island, relaxed dining table, food prep work space and package wrapping station.
This open shelving kitchen is pretty close to my idea of perfection! I love having tools, utensils and equipment close to hand. I enjoy seeing colourful ingredients and pretty packaging on full show – such as these Kilner jars full of cereals, pastas and pulses.
There’s also an easy mix of rustic antiques and contemporary fixtures & fittings which works very well.
