We’ve just come across this lovely home on the Apartment Therapy website. The owner, Marika Frumes, calls it her ‘Scandinavian urban farmhouse’ – I know just what she means!
It’s a loft apartment in the middle of Manhattan, but it has a laid back country vibe. The leather corner sofa, oversized pouffes and sheepskin throw make it feel like New Mexico rather than New York.
The tan colour of those wonderful beams and window frames is picked up, not only in the leather but also in the rocker and high shelving. It’s broken up with the greenery of the houseplants. The plain, whitewashed brick walls are the perfect backdrop. Swipe for more views of her lovely home!
