Logic dictates that it’s expensive to live in a mansion on the coast of LA. But not according to Tony Stark. The multi-millionaire who spends his time (when he’s not busy running Stark Enterprises) flying around as the superhero Iron Man, is for lack of a better word, RICH.
Mr Stark is a rare case in pop culture, because his living surroundings are accurate in terms of the amount of income he brings in through his various business endeavours. However, not all pop culture houses are as accurately portrayed.
Ever wondered if Sherlock could afford his lavish looking flat on Baker Street? Or if James Bond could afford his snazzy apartment he’s seen occupying in the film Spectre? You may be surprised to learn that unlike Tony Stark, these characters would have a far tougher time in affording these properties.
Australia’s largest financial comparisons company, Canstar, have created a tool which allows you to find out just that, if fictional characters could really afford the homes in which they’re seen. You can even compare a fictional budget of your own to see if you’d fare any better.
