Our friend, Hannah Nunn, recently re-shared this photo on her Instagram feed. It’s the tranquil bedroom of one of her customers who made a one-of-a-kind headboard using one of her designs. The space piqued our interest, so we went to have a look at what the rest of her house would look like.
Danielle, a stylist and photographer based over in the Netherlands, has a beautiful home with an ever-evolving interior. She loves natural, calm zones – and this bedroom typifies her look.
Your eye drifts easily over the space. Nothing screams for attention, yet the room certainly doesn’t lack for interest. There’s pattern, form and texture everywhere. Seed heads, both real and artistic representation, are much incorporated into the scheme – along with chunky knits, textiles, woven grasses and so on.
Her colour scheme throughout is muted and subtle. She skilfully layers suitable shades of white, cream, beige and light brown. Creating tonal differences rather than incorporating bold highlight colours is her approach. And very successful it is too… what a beautiful, relaxing space to relax, unwind and sleep!
