This month, we’re pleased to be offering a mystery plant bundle (worth £45.00) from HeyPlants. Many of us are spending more time at home (and in the garden) because of the various lock-downs. Lots of people have developed a new-found interest in gardening and looking after plants in general.

HeyPlants is a new, online marketplace that connects garden enthusiasts with local sellers, garden centres and plant nurseries. Simply visit their website, search for a plant and they’ll show you nearby stores with that plant in stock. If you have a favourite neighbourhood store or seller, you can also browse products within a specific store. The choice is yours! They’ll then deliver your new plant(s) direct to your door.

The HeyPlants marketplace offers a wide range of outdoor and indoor plants; ferns, palms, orchids, cacti & succulents and bulbs & seeds.

  1. I love sweet peas and grow them every year. Am currently planting up the patio area with big leafy ‘jungle’ plants like gunnera.

  2. I like plants I can eat! Herbs, spices, vegetables, fruit – our garden is really more of a veg plot. I’d love to find a really nice thyme plant that doesn’t go leggy, stringy or woody when it’s frequently cut for culinary use.

  3. My favourite plants are the
Christmas cactus. They are the most beautiful colours when they flower. Also you can get a mixed colour version which is stunning. They are great to watch blossoming.

  4. I love my aloe vera and spider plants. They have been growing so well in my living room and add a nice bit of colour. In the garden we have a lot of roses and they have now reached maturity, so they look stunning when they are in full bloom.

  5. In the garden I like Lavender and Rosemary and a good array of bedding plants. In the house cacti and various green leafy things I don’t know the names of haha!

  6. I really like structural evergreen plants such as (indoor) Yuccas & Bromeliads, plus Palms, Fatsia & Cordylines outside. I also love Lavender, and white or yellow flowering plants such as an Osteospermum. Of course a Sunflower is a given, who doesn’t love their big smiley heads 🙂

  7. I have a couple of spider plants which are “babies” from one where we lived at uni a whopping 20 years ago. They are still going strong! I’d love to have a monstera plant though.

  8. don’t know their proper names but love my pink flamingo plants, had some luck as well with mother in laws tongues

  9. I love roses, lillies and lily of the valley they remind me of my mum and my nan.

I’m trying to grow roses and lillies in my own garden

  10. I love calatheas and ferns indoors but I also have a magnificent ficus I would like to add to and I love acers (in pots) and unusual perennials outside.

  11. I love ferns and succulents as they are so easy to look after, I have a money plant that I grew from a cutting and it’s beautiful now, it looks like a small tree.

  12. I love orchids and peace lilies indoors. In the garden I love the roses, clemetis which flower so much of the year.

  13. My house is full of spider plants, basically because I keep getting baby ones and so I repot them. I also love ferns

  15. Indoors it has to be a large yucca and I love Parlour Palms – outdoors you cannot beat Forsythia for a sign that Spring is here and Gerbers for long lasting colour

  16. I love plants that have a lovely smell that you can smell as soon as you enter the room. Sweet peas are my favourite. I also ferns and roses.

  17. I used to have a conservatory which got quite a lot of sun so I used to have loads of cacti and succulents, my mum was so jealous as I got some of my cacti to flower something she has never managed!

  18. Indoor plants I love are Hyacinths for the glorious scent, Christmas Cacti for the wonderful blooms, and Yucca for their tropical appearance.
