We promise to stop the puppy spam soon – honest! We brought our new 10-week old Weimaraner puppy home yesterday; he’s adorable. We’ve gathered all-sorts in preparation; a puppy gate, food, toys, bowls, leads… but we’re yet to buy him a coat.
We wanted to wait until he arrived, so that we could measure him. He grew so much between the time we first saw him and the day we went to collect him. We’re coming up to the cold and wet time of the year so something that will keep him warm and dry at the same time is what we want.
We’ve short-listed three of our favourite puppy raincoats; helpfully available in multiple sizes. We like each of them for differing reasons. We chose #1 because of its lovely mustard colour, it would work well with his silver fur. Number two is reflective, which is useful when out walking on dark, winter afternoons. The third, and most expensive, option is a proper waterproof wax jacket. It’s lined with real wool, which will keep the chilly temperatures at bay.
