selection of Christmas items from Lakeland

Shhh… Don’t tell Justin, but a stop off at the Lakeland shop in Windemere is THE highlight of every trip we make to the Lakes. I’m always a little excited when we pull into their car park and catch a glimpse of their huge glass-fronted entrance. They stock every cooking tool, utensil, gadget and kitchen accessory you could ever need – and a quite a few you never knew you needed!

Needless to say, our Lakeland Christmas choice features cooking, baking and other food-related items…

Christmas Countdown: House of Fraser

selection of Christmas items from House of Fraser

House of Fraser is a real High Street stalwart – the company’s been around since 1849! I (and lots of other people probably) still refer to the Manchester branch as “Kendal’s” and the Birmingham one as “Rackham’s” as they were once family-owned, independent department stores. There are lots of these old companies around the country which now come under the House of Fraser umbrella… even Harrods!

Anyway, that’s enough of a history lesson for one day; here’s our little selection of HoF Christmas goodies!

  1. Wedgwood neo-classical bauble: £25
  2. 5 kraft hand-drawn Christmas gift tags: £1.50
  3. Woodland Charm wooden tree: £10
  4. Novelty reindeer mug: £5
  5. Frosty boiled wool large penguin table piece: £9
