These crackers from Liberty of London are some of the most exquisite things I’ve ever seen – almost too lovely to pull! And I’d happily share a home with that plump robin with his Liberty print breast. Liberty’s Christmas range isn’t the largest, but it makes up for that in the sheer quality of what it does have.

  1. Extra large Liberty print robin – £59.95
  2. Silver Astley Clarke Winter Skies charm – £135
  3. Blue knitted Christmas stocking – £16.95
  4. Christmas pudding felt bauble – £6.95
  5. Medium festive print angel tree topper – £19.95
  6. Heritage superior luxury crackers – £39.95

Shhh… Don’t tell Justin, but a stop off at the Lakeland shop in Windemere is THE highlight of every trip we make to the Lakes. I’m always a little excited when we pull into their car park and catch a glimpse of their huge glass-fronted entrance. They stock every cooking tool, utensil, gadget and kitchen accessory you could ever need – and a quite a few you never knew you needed!

Needless to say, our Lakeland Christmas choice features cooking, baking and other food-related items…

Christmas Countdown: House of Fraser

selection of Christmas items from House of Fraser

House of Fraser is a real High Street stalwart – the company’s been around since 1849! I (and lots of other people probably) still refer to the Manchester branch as “Kendal’s” and the Birmingham one as “Rackham’s” as they were once family-owned, independent department stores. There are lots of these old companies around the country which now come under the House of Fraser umbrella… even Harrods!

Anyway, that’s enough of a history lesson for one day; here’s our little selection of HoF Christmas goodies!

  1. Wedgwood neo-classical bauble: £25
  2. 5 kraft hand-drawn Christmas gift tags: £1.50
  3. Woodland Charm wooden tree: £10
  4. Novelty reindeer mug: £5
  5. Frosty boiled wool large penguin table piece: £9
