Season’s greetings, it’s Christmas once again!

If you’re familiar with our past Tuesday Huesday blog posts, you’ll see that we’re very fond of bright and contrasting colours. That’s not to say that we don’t appreciate soft and complementary colours too – the palette used in this shot of Bella Norte Linens is most pleasing!
This image is one of almost 200 in Carme Sala’s gorgeous vintage illustration collection on Flickr. It’s from Cartilla escolar de alimentación para niños de 7 a 10 años (translated as School feeding primer for children 7 to 10 years old) first published in 1973. The illustrations were done by F. Martinez Chaves.
As well as collecting vintage children’s books, posters and other images, Carme is a graphic designer & illustrator in her own right and has a wonderful blog, La meva maleta, where she shares her inspirations.
I’ve coveted this hexagon patchwork crocheted blanket for a long time, and I love the styling of the photograph. It was made by Vanessa of the Coco Rose Diaries blog – she’s a very talented lady. Here’s the story of its making!
