Perhaps it’s because we have always lived in old, stone, workers’ cottages prone to darkness; when I see an entrance hall or porch bathed in sunlight I come over all wistful.
Becca’s (from Malmo & Moss) entrance porch has this kind of effect on me. It’s such a light filled space – the glazed front door, the brilliant white walls & ceiling, the HUGE round mirror all work together to maximise the brightness.
There’s a useful long bench for pausing on the way in or out the door to put on or remove shoes. The mirror is positioned perfectly for last minute checks of hair & make up before going out.
An entrance hall should never be cluttered – this one has just the right number of practical and decorative items in the space.
- Antique brass wall light
- Oversized frame mirror
- Florence circle basket
- Woven seagrass shopper
- 3 x monochrome-dipped baskets
- Wide fit leather lace up star print trainers
- Lauren Ralph Lauren Cliff stripe rug
