We have a few colourful, mismatched 1960/70s folding garden chairs that get a couple of months use each year. One by one their ancient fabric seats are giving way under the weight of our sun-worshipping bodies! The only way they can be repaired is by completely recovering them in new fabric and that’s way beyond my chair recovering skills. I think we’re going to have to invest in some new ones. Here are some bright and, more importantly, rainproof examples.
- Le Versha chair: orange, red, plum, turquoise – £168, Anthropologie
- Jasmine bistro table & 2 chairs – £279 Marks & Spencer
- Parc folding garden chair – £45, Habitat
