Price Points: Face masks

Face masks | H is for Home

Have you been feeling wary about going out in public during the current lock-down? Wearing gloves and face masks to work, the supermarket and on public transport can help.

We’ve selected three face, face masks; no, that’s not a typo! They’re not just your plain, simple examples – something a little different with a bit of character.

To be completely honest, the ‘smile’ face mask gives me the creeps somewhat… although it’s probably a good remedy to my ‘resting b*tch face‘!

The tiger face mask is great if you want to encourage the kids to wear masks when they’re out in public spaces – and the cute matching ears are a bonus!

My personal favourites, though, are the ones that will shortly be available from Disney. They feature the faces of various characters from the Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and Frozen blockbusters; Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, R2D2, Hulk and many more…

Disney is donating one million cloth face masks for children and families in underserved and vulnerable communities across the U.S. that will be distributed by MedShare (www.medshare.org). Due to overwhelming demand, we’re thrilled to share that we have reached our goal of raising $1 million in profits from the sales of our cloth face masks, which will be donated to MedShare to support the medical community’s ongoing efforts to provide lifesaving care to those in need.

  1. As a key worker I’ve still been going out every day. All you can do is follow the hygiene and social distancing protocols and hope to stay safe

  2. Wary? I’ve simply not been out at all. I drive around the town once a week to save my car battery but I’ve not yet dared to get out of the car and i think it will be some weeks before i do

  3. I’m not really concerned about going out but I still follow what the government/medical experts advise. I think the media have been atrocious in this whole situation by stoking mass hysteria and real fear in a lot of people. Of course we should all take care especially the elderly and people with medical problems but if the economy totally collapses then the problems of this virus will pale into insignificance.

  4. Very wary of going out, I have had one trip in 8 weeks, rest of the time my daughter goes for shopping

  5. Yes I have been very wary – a daughter in the shielded group makes me think twice about everything I do

  6. I have been going out as little as possible. I go for a daily walk in the park behind my house, and once a week we do food shopping at a couple of local shops.

  7. Yes I have not been out at all and do not trust recent Government lifting of the Lockdown. It all seems economic rather than health concerns

  8. Yes i have, but have a couple of ladies we have been shopping and running errands for, but we just get on with it

  9. I’ve been wary to go out and still am only going out occasionally for exercise, nothing more. The government guidelines at the moment seem intentionally woolly, and we have someone shielding in our household so erring on the side of caution.

  10. im very wary, to be honest im staying away from crowded/public places until theres at least a vaccine! x

  11. I’ve been very wary of going out because I am protecting my elderly parents. I don’t want to be responsible for passing the germ onto them

  12. I’m too fat, too old and too ill so I’ve kept at home. Having had to retire from the NHS due to ill health I have experience of illness but also knowledge of infection control using PEP and i know how poor some face masks or face coverings can be for infection control.

  13. I have been going to work as normal as I work for the NHS, but have been trying to avoid going in other places as much as possible

  14. I haven’t actually been out other than my garden or drive since 12th March, but mainly because I hurt my leg & can’t walk very far! I think I would be nervous because everything is so different now. My husband & son have told me about queuing to get into shops, which just seems really weird as it was all normal last time I went to the shops.

  15. Yes I’m wary about going out especially as a family we don’t drive so we have to use public transport for work and although they recommend you wear masks often alot of people don’t use them so it’s scary too. Love your masks.

  16. Yes I’ve been very wary of going out and it makes me very anxious but staying in also makes me anxious so I try and find a balance

  17. As hubby and I are over 70 we have stayed at home throughout apart from our daily walk. We are lucky enough to live in a small village with plenty of farm tracks and quiet lanes. We’ve rarely met anyone and have done about 400 miles since the start of self-isolation! As things ease we have decided to go away in our campervan but will continue with self-isolating and not use campsite amenity blocks. I think it will be a while yet before we brave the shops.

  18. Love the masks bar the clown one – shiver —- they always always freak me out … but people would keep away I guess!

  19. I’ve been wary of going out in public during lockdown; I’m more worried about infecting other people than catching COVID-19 myself, and I hate wearing a mask. Got to be done where possible, though.

  20. Interesting masks, not been wary just a bit more cautious, and keeping my distance, and going to the shops when it is not busy

  21. Not worried but certainly very careful both while out and when I get home. I have a routine for disinfecting everything on the doorstep.

  22. I have been very scared however I am a Keyworker and work in a school so this has helped with the feeling of normality.

  23. Yes I’m very wary about going out and have been quite anxious the few times I’ve had no choice but to venture out

  24. I have been wary about going out, but we need to get some kind of normality in our lives again, but we stay safe,
