Vintage T. G. Green 'Fleur' sauce boat

We’re here to sing the praises of a slightly underrated, perhaps little-known, range of pottery.

We found this sauce boat on the flea market last week. It’s in the gorgeous Fleur pattern produced by Swedish designer Berit Ternell for T. G. Green & Co Ltd in 1961. There are also plates, casserole dishes, jugs, bottles and storage jars in the range.

We just love the stylised flowers; tulips, cow parsley, sunflowers and dandelions. It’s similar in style to the sought after and recently re-introduced Picknick range by Rorstrand of Sweden.

We’ve noticed that Fleur doesn’t appear for sale too often. It always sells quickly, but prices remain very affordable. It’s a good sign for an underrated classic – so keep your eyes out!
