After a little bit of online research, I discovered that C. W. Briggs was an antique dealer who is listed as being located on Leicester Road in Loughborough between 1948 & 1951.
Buyer’s premium is as follows:
- Room and absentee bids: 28.8% inc VAT
- Online and autobid: 30.6% inc VAT

The auction house says of their shipping policy:
We do not post fragile items, such as ceramics and glassware, or large items, however we may be able to assist with the packing and postage of small items of jewellery, watches, medals, small pieces of silver, etc.
They do, however, recommend a number of couriers for local, national and international buyers.
