Neither of us here at chez H is for Home can play a musical instrument (although I once learned to play Greensleeves and London’s Burning on the recorder).

This vintage Organetta being sold on eBay by Martlets Hospice* caught our eye because of its great colour. If it’s piqued your interest and you think it would make a good keyboard for your child to learn to play – buyer beware – its volume control doesn’t work… and it’s stuck on full volume!

*The Martlets Hospice is an independent charity, caring for adults with a life limiting disease where a cure is no longer possible, in the Brighton & Hove area. Specialist palliative care is provided for patients. Support is given to families & carers during the patients’ illness and into bereavement.

Last week we helped a charity to publicise a Miroslav Sasek matchbook that they we’re auctioning on eBay. Then we thought – why don’t we do this more often? And so we shall!

This is the first of a new feature where we highlight vintage goodies listed on eBay where 100% of the sale is given to charity.
