Auction alert: Winter Fine Art Catalogue Sale

18TH CENTURY OAK CHILD'S ROCKING CHAIR

The Winter Fine Art Catalogue Sale will be held by Hutchinson Scott Auctioneers, who are located in Skipton, North Yorkshire.

Browsing through their catalogue, there are some super lots; many unusual and rare finds. Items span the years; from a 20th century Whitefriars vase to an 18th century child’s rocking chair.

There’ll be 1,203 lots up for sale across three days:

• Day 1 – Lot: 1 to 429 – Wednesday 30th November 2022, 9:30am
• Day 2 – Lot: 430 to 797 – Thursday 1st December 2022, 9:30am
• Day 3 – Lot: 798 to 1203 – Friday 2nd December 2022, 9:30am

We’ve picked out eleven of our favourite items. There’s an pair of exquisite cufflinks made by Fabergé (for that notorious “man who has everything”), a pair of bat sconces that would look perfect on the wall of a Gothic themed hallway and an exceptional lay figure that has an estimate of 4-6 thousand that we think will sell for much more.

Hutchinson Scott clearly sets out their shipping policy and the various methods of, and charges for, bidding online:

A buyers premium of 25% plus VAT at the standard rate will be added to the hammer price. VAT at the current rate is payable on the buyers premium in all cases.
