Here’s a selection of vintage homewares that we added to the H is for Home webshop this weekend.

vintage Arabia milk jug and Figgjo Flint Turi Daisy cup & saucer

Some lovely Scandinavian pieces for kitchen/dining including the cow milk jug produced by Arabia and the Daisy cup & saucer by Figgjo Flint.

Also, this red enamel coffee pot designed by Anti Nurmesniemi for Finel – such a classic piece of Scandinavian mid century modern!

trio of vintage blue circle Altenkunstadt vases

Moving a short distance across Europe to Germany – this trio of vases were designed by Cari Zalloni for Altenkunstadt Pottery. They’re from his ‘Cirkel’ range and the Op Art pattern is really striking. We’ve listed them separately, but they do look great grouped together. If you’d like to re-home them as a family, then we can do a special price on the three together!

vintage Babysham party pack in original packaging

These Babycham glasses were a good find. You quite often come across them looking a bit tired (well, they have been partying!). The logos & gold rims are often well rubbed, but these are absolutely mint in their original display box.

three vintage milk bottles advertising Brooke Bond Tea, Ready Brek and Kellogg's Corn Flakes

A bit more advertising ware. These milk bottles were popular in the 1970s & 80s – much more exciting that a drab Tetrapak carton! You could decant your milk into them to brighten up your morning cereal – or they’re perfect for cut flowers too.

pair of vintage staplers

We’ve been picking up a lot of industrial vintage items recently. These staplers fit in very well with that theme adding a vintage touch to a desk or shelf whilst remaining completely functional.

We’ve just acquired a quantity of Figgjo Flint pottery. Someone got in touch when they saw us in the Homes & Antiques vintage Norwegian design feature. It had been lurking in a loft for many years.

It’s from the Tor Viking range designed by Turid “Turi” Gramstad Oliver. There’s an 11-minute video interview with Turi over on Vimeo – you’ll need to be able to understand Norwegian though!

We plan on splitting up the set into cups & saucers, trios, sets of plates etc. when we list them in our shop. Get in touch soon if you’re interested in buying the lot!

P.S. Here’s all the other Figgjo Flint items we currently have in the H is for Home shop.

selection of vintage items sourced in August 2011 including a vintage carry picnic set, pair of Welsh wool purses, Oxo tin, Viners Splayds and Figgjo Flint bud vase

It’s a while since we did one of our Forthcoming Attractions posts – it features items that we’ve picked up in the previous week that were in the process of photographing & cataloging – items that will hit our website in the very near future.

Some nice bright pottery to start – the slender jug or bud vase is from the Saga range by Figgjo Flint – the cheery floral jug was produced by Sadler in the 1960s.

We love this vintage 1950s lemonade/water jug – very ‘Festival of Britain’.

The Viners Splayds come in their original packaging – perfect for garden parties & barbecues. And not one, but two Welsh Wool purses bought off the same stall – their colours & patterns are so distinctive.

carry case for vintage picnic table & chair set from a selection of vintage items sourced in August 2011

It all sits on a beech coloured table – it’s part of a picnic/camping set with which comes with 4 canvas stools – and which all folds up to form the carry case.  Ideal for the car boot or camper van!

vintage Figgjo Flint milk and sugar set

Figgjo Flint is a Norwegian pottery company still producing today.

Our favourites of theirs are the folk art and landscape-inspired designs of the 1950s & 60s – ranges such as Lotte, Daisy, Sicilia and Market.
