Get their look: Pastel sitting room

I’m not great at conscientiously posting a daily photo to #Myhousethismonth on Instagram, but I do like to see other people’s efforts. That’s where I discovered this lovely pastel sitting room.

The trio of pink, green and yellow shades is very appealing to the eye. It makes for a restful environment. The bespoke artwork on the wall above the sofa blends perfectly with the furniture and accessories, again using the same colour combination. The metallic elements in the tables, vases, lamp and shade bring it all together and contrast nicely against the soft furnishings.

Get their look: Navy kitchen

We’ve really been enjoying Amandalisa’s Instagram feed as she shares her journey through her navy kitchen remodel project down there in South Wales. The result is a very classy, grown up kitchen – and very practical too. It’s fashionable, without being faddy. It looks robust and built to last, so its elegant looks should stand the test of time.

We love the way the dark blue contrasts with the crisp white – and the geometric splash-back tiles cleverly pull everything together. The statement pendant light is a triumph – a real show-stopper. The metallic accents and natural wood tones also work really well in the scheme – even small details like the cupboard handles catch the eye. And you can’t beat a bit of greenery or some fresh cut flowers to add life and vibrancy to a space.

It looks like a great kitchen to cook and entertain – a very successful re-model!

Get their look: Ethnic loft

Ethnic loftcredit

Sometimes, when you’re browsing the internet, an image of an interior just stops you in your tracks with its breath-taking beauty. That was the case with this gorgeous ethnic loft.

I’m not sure if it’s someone’s actual home as the photograph is from an interiors shop website. Most, if not all, of the items are for sale. The shop carries an international selection of stock; Moroccan leather poufs, Indian wooden bowls, Cameroonian tables, Balinese parasols and Zimbabwean baskets.

Zoco Home is a Finnish company however, their bricks & mortar concept store is located in Mijas, Spain, just south west of Málaga. We’ll be giving it a visit if we ever touch down in the Costa del Sol!
