Well, it’s finally happened – Andy Murray has broken the drought of 77 years! Wimbledon has seen the first British men’s champion since Fred Perry way back in 1936. To celebrate, we’re sharing this vintage Wimbledon poster designed by Herry Perry (I wonder if she was any relation to Fred) in 1931 for Underground Electric Railways Company Ltd. Prints are available from the London Transport Museum.

Christmas gift faves
We’ve not had the best of Christmases here in H is for Home world.
Frozen pipes for 10 days – followed by the inevitable burst pipes… and the pulling down of walls to find & repair the leaks.
The snow also caused some serious postal delays for customers orders, which we couldn’t do much about but still felt responsible.
Add to that train travel chaos and a dose of swine ‘flu – it’s been pretty miserable!
One of the few things that brought a bit of joy was the lovely array of Christmas gifts bought by loved ones – here’s a selection…
