This week’s featured auction is the Winter Antiques & Interiors sale at Hartley’s Auctions Ltd. It takes place on Wednesday 1st Dec 2021, from 10am.
When we lived in Yorkshire, Harley’s – located in Ilkley – was one of the auctions we attended frequently. They run a regular collectables sale every fortnight, however, they hold a quarterly antiques & interiors sale. At these special events, they sell higher quality and value items.
They sell a large variety of items – antique furniture, mid century modern furniture, fine art paintings, jewellery, metalware and textiles.
There will be 599 lots coming under the hammer on this occasion. There’ll be a buyer’s premium of 21% (inc. VAT) on top of the cost of the item(s). On the day, live internet bidding will be available on a couple of bidding platforms:
- easyliveauction.com (an extra charge of £3 per auction or 3% of the hammer price)
- thesaleroom.com (an extra 4.95% of the hammer price)
Alternatively, bids can be left on the Hartley’s website up until 8am on the day of sale or bids can be left via telephone on 01943 816363 or emailed to info@hartleysauctions.co.uk
With regards to delivery of won lots:
We are only prepared to pack and post small items of silver and jewellery provided it is within the UK.
They do, however, suggest other alternative delivery companies, including ones that handle large items such as furniture. Simply check their website.
