Get their look: Historic Welsh holiday cottage

Historic Welsh holiday cottagecredit

Have you ever noticed how in January, you begin to see lots of television ads for holiday companies? It’s a time of year when everyone has Christmas fatigue, cold weather fatigue and probably ‘Dry January’ fatigue as well! What better way to get ourselves out of that fug than booking a week away?

We were browsing one of those holiday company websites when we came across this historic Welsh holiday cottage. Located between the remote beaches of Abermawr and Aberbach in Pembrokshire, the cottage once served as a hut for storing cables back in the early days of international telephone communication. You’ll find little nods to its previous life in the cable spool coffee table and other vintage industrial homewares and furniture. Eye-catching, locally-produced, Melin Tregwynt woollen textiles are dotted throughout the cottage bringing flashes of colour and texture, whilst also softening the hard surfaces of the space.

Our finger is hovering over the ‘book’ button!

Get their look: Swoon Worthy boho glam kitchen

Swoon Worthy boho glam kitchencredit

We love this space! This Swoon Worthy boho glam kitchen belongs to Kimberly Duran; Pennsylvania-born, Manchester-based, multi-award-winning lifestyle blogger.

Swoon Worthy is the name of her blog and ‘eclectic boho glam’ is the fitting phrase she uses to describe her style.

Kimberly’s bold use of black, metallics and print is in evidence all around her house however, it’s in her kitchen that we love it the most. Copper, brass and gold against a background of black is a match made in heaven and so, so current. The open, overhead shelves show off her collection of beautiful glass and china to great effect.

If you’ve fallen for Kimberly’s kitchen, you’ll love the rest of her home. Go check out her ‘doing up’ story on her website.

What a laid back kitchen diner! The space belongs to Dee Campling, Instagram doyenne and co-founder of the myhomevibe hashtag.

It has a natural Scandi feel – very modern, yet homely too.

You can imagine her family sitting here having their breakfast, the kids doing their homework or the grown-ups sharing a bottle of wine after the young ones have gone to bed. A space for all the family!

Get their look: Italian chef’s kitchen

Italian chef's kitchen

There are so many clues in this interior as to the nationality and occupation of the owner; it’s an Italian chef’s kitchen. Lucas Migliorelli‘s apartment is in a castle; the kitchen floors are made of marble and there’s a huge chandelier hanging from a high, frescoed ceiling.

We’d highly recommend you to have a look at the rest of the photos from the house tour. His kitchen – especially from the perspective of two ex-chefs – is so perfectly kitted out!
