We love this vintage atomic table lamp currently for sale by & in support of St Kentigern Hospice*. It’s so mid century modern! The rose-adorned shade may not be to everyone’s taste but this could easily be remedied. Recovering it in some Lucienne Day, Marian Mahler or Jacqueline Groag fabric.

If you’re interested, there’s not much time left to um and ahh about leaving a bid – the listing ends tomorrow night. It’s a ‘buyer to collect’ item (it’s located in St Asaph, Denbighshire) and the opening bid is £29.99.

*St Kentigern Hospice’s objective is to offer patients, their carers, families and friends, responsive holistic care in a warm, homely, safe, nurturing environment.

Salvation Furniture table in our kitchen diner

Adelle recently entered an Instagram competition hosted by Notonthehighstreet. People were invited to post a #shelfie – an image of a shelf in their house. The prize was a Kanteen table from Salvation Furniture.

Lo & behold, our shelfie won!

The table is made from lime-washed, reclaimed wooden boards with a metal frame beneath. We like the character of the wood – and the rustic, vintage industrial look. It makes a great dining table and we were tempted to leave it in our kitchen diner, but we already have a nice baker’s table that acts as our food preparation & eating area. Fortunately, the table is also perfect as an office desk or craft station so it will put to good use upstairs.

Vintage Viners cutlery storage table for sale by & in support of British Heart Foundation

We’ve not come across one of these before. A cutlery canteen, cum coffee table, cum cutlery storage. It looks to have been made or commissioned by Viners of Sheffield in the 1950s.

The table is for sale by & in support of British Heart Foundation* in Motherwell. It has lovely mid century modern styling… and you get what looks like a load of highly collectable vintage Viners Chelsea cutlery thrown in as a bonus! We did a little research and found that the last one similar to this sold for £95 – this one’s starting bid is £49.99.

*British Heart Foundation is the nation’s heart charity. They help save lives with information, patient care and pioneering research. With your support, they’re beating heart disease for good.
