Room scent can really add an extra dimension to an interior. That’s why scented candles, reed diffusers, incense sticks and essential oil burners have become so popular. We’ve decided that we’d like to dot a few bowls of natural pot pourri around the house.
Pot pourri had a big moment in the 1960s & 70s. However, back then, it was dyed in all sorts of lurid colours and impregnated with synthetic perfumes. Thankfully, things have moved on a lot since then!
The IKEA version is described as smelling like, “vanilla ice cream and freshly baked waffles”.
Grapefruit and ginger are both flavours and scents that are associated with zing and freshness – just the kind of thing you need for the bathroom after an invigorating shower.
Seychelles is fragranced with bergamot, amber and vanilla, all aromas that I like a lot. They are uplifting and calming at the same time – I could see this working in the bedroom or sitting room.
