Gimme Five! Hot water bottles

Selection of five hot water bottles & covers

We’ve had a couple of frosty nights recently. Nothing worth turning the central heating on for though! One of my best friends at this time of year is the humble hot water bottle (along with my thermals and tall wool socks). It’s quick to prepare, tactile and portable. I fill it up with a kettle-ful of boiling water, stick it under my jumper if I’m sitting on the sofa or slip it under the duvet a few minutes before I’m ready to get into bed. It keeps me toasty all through the winter!

Orange objects really catch the eye. It enables them to shout loudly in a collection of other brightly coloured pieces.

Alternatively, it’s perfect as a highlight colour within a muted décor or against natural materials.

We’ve given a few different chairs the orange treatment!

We did a G is for… Garden blog post a couple of months ago having just planted out some annuals. Our French marigolds are doing well with all the sunshine & showers we’ve been having.
